A Nifty Rock formation between Essex and Hadlyme
Gillete Castle from the south. Build by an actor, William Gillete, who played Sherlock Holmes on stage near the beginning of the century. Now a state park.

The East Haddam swing bridge. Just to the right is the historic Goodspeed Opera House, where some Broadway plays had their first showing.
The Connecticut Yankee Nuclear power plant. (No longer operational, but the old fuel's still there.)
